A study of the representation of the “African” child in Western and African literature, film and cultural production. Special emphasis is placed on teen/young adult novels, and on topics related to education and pedagogy. This course fulfills the "multicultural" component needed for admission to most Ontario teacher's colleges. Exclusion: EN209j.
